Sunday Science School

Sunday Science School is a science experiment school running on 16 Sundays spanning from August to February every year. The school focusses on “learning-by-doing”. Students enroll in this program on their own capacity. About 300 to 350 students participate annually and are divided into two categories- junior and senior. These are further divided in to batches of manageable strength of 25-30. Students perform the assigned experiments under the guidance of volunteer experts and arrive to their conclusions after finishing the experiment. They are also required to maintain a journal of their experimental work. Textual experiments are not selected for the program but the standard of students is considered as reference for activity design. Experiments in disciplines of Astronomy, Biology, Environment, Chemistry, Math and Physics are designed.
